Abie Abie was born in the late 1940s in Brooklyn, New York. While growing up during the 1950s and 1960s, Rock & Roll vocal group music was ringing in his ears from the radio and from neighborhood groups singing on the corners. It has always been his passion.

Now he has taken it to the next level. With doo-wop no longer being played on commercial radio, he has created his own radio show and Web site to help keep this wonderful music alive.

As this web site became more and more successful Abie invited other DJ's to join him in bringing their style of DooWop music along. So, you can listen to Abie's shows or any of the other great radio shows hosted by one of the other great DJ's on this web site.

DooWop Lovers, This is a Must:

"Life Could Be A Dream: The Doo-Wop Sound" - the definitive look at the music and performers of the Doo-Wop Era!

Doo-Wop is a unique form of harmony singing which ultimately swept the world and transformed the face of popular music. It's a simple style of singing, born of the urban streets, but in its inherent simplicity is a powerful attraction and a fascinating tale of passionate young love, heartache, triumph, and some of the sweetest lyrics and sounds ever recorded. It's a story that has never been told. This is that story.

Featuring:

Lewis Lymon and Jimmy Merchant (The Teenagers), Earl "Speedo" Carroll (The Cadillacs), Arlene Smith (The Chantels), Pookie Hudson (The Spaniels), Reather Dixon and Emma Pought (The Bobbettes), Dave Somerville (The Diamonds), Things To Come, Cyndy & The Cliftonaires, Ronnie Italiano (UGHA), Bobby Jay (WCBS), Don K. Reed (WCBS).
