Opportunity
doesn't knock often and you never know where and when it will happen. For Yvette Lawson,
Jerry Lawson's daughter, it came in a NYC taxicab She had joined her dad and several of
the members of Talk Of The Town, for dinner while they were in NYC. While riding in the
taxi the Isley Brothers version of "For The Love Of You" was playing on the
radio. Ray,Stan and CD started singing along and Yvette joined in. After the taxi ride
Jerry's wife Julie insisted that they keep singing so Jerry who was riding in another taxi
could hear Yvette sing this song.
After getting back home to Arizona, Jerry was riding his car in the
mountains when it hit him. Let Yvette do this song on the Cd. She had been on stage with
the Persuasions since she was a little girl and Jerry said many times before that he would
record her one day.
WELL THAT DAY IS NOW!!
